A Celebration of Connection
At the core of Spokes is the idea that like the spokes of a wheel, the bonds we form with others creates strength and unity. That connection was formed between Mark x Laura, both avid cyclists, on their first date when they rode 50 miles together. Inspired by their adventurous spirits, along with the natural connections between our land, farming, grapes, and our community, this organic sparkling wine brings together generations of winemaking expertise with a modern twist.

We believe that great wine begins in the vineyard. That’s why our sparkling wine is crafted from 100% estate grown organic grapes from our famed Rutherford Dust Vineyard, known as one of the first Napa Valley vineyards to receive the Regenerative Organic Certification®.
The Taste of Connection
This refined and elegant sparkling wine is made from unique Italian grape variety Vermentino. It showcases a lovely pale-yellow hue with delicate greenish highlights, and its fine, persistent bubbles result from traditional in-bottle fermentation. The aromas offer a vibrant bouquet of white and yellow flowers, enriched by intense fruit notes that linger beautifully. Specifically, you’ll find aromatic hints of citrus, pear, and green peach, along with hints of toasted bread and ripe melon. These aromas lead to a long, refreshing zesty finish on the palate, complemented by a lovely softness and a touch of the distinctive Vermentino structure.

In the heart of Napa Valley, Mark and Laura Neal have embarked on an exciting collaboration with their creation of “Spokes,” an organic sparkling wine that captures their shared passion for sustainability and innovation. This unique wine, crafted as CCOF certified Organic from soil to bottle, symbolizes their commitment to organic farming and exceptional winemaking.
Mark, an organic, biodynamic farming pioneer, has been nurturing vineyards since 1966. His journey began on his family’s Rutherford farm, where he developed a profound love for the land and winemaking. This passion led him to establish Neal Family Vineyards in 1998, producing exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon from their estate-certified organic vineyards.
Laura, with over 25 years of experience in leadership advisory, business development, and Fortune 500 sales, has brought her expertise to the family winery, enhancing its growth and national presence. Beyond her role at the winery, she is an entrepreneur and innovative leadership expert, founder of Ambitious Venture, a keynote speaker, Ironman triathlete, and advocate for women in business.
Together, Mark and Laura Neal’s creation of “Spokes” stands as a testament to their collaborative spirit, blending Mark’s farming expertise with Laura’s business acumen. This sparkling wine not only adds a new dimension to their legacy but also highlights their dedication to crafting innovative and sustainable wines.
WineMaker Craig roemer
Craig Roemer is a UC Davis graduate with over 30 years of experience producing sparkling wines. Craig continued to gain expertise by making wine for one of the most prestigious Napa sparkling wine producers for 15 years. Over the course of his career, Craig has made Méthode Traditionnelle, Charmant, Pet-Nat (Petillant Naturel) and Carbonated Wines.
He has made wines on four different continents, which are North and South America, Europe and Australia. Craig has worked with the three traditional varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, as well as a number of other varietals not typically associated with Méthode Traditionnelle Sparkling Wines. He has proven his expansive knowledge base and attention to detail to make a wide variety of quality and uniquely expressive wines.
